The Director of AIDS Institute (AI) Housing oversees all day-to-day functions of services provided through the Evergreen Health AIDS Institute (AI) funded housing programs (Component A), State Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), and Southern Tier housing programs. The Director of AI Housing is also responsible for assessing, developing, coordinating and supervising Component A and Southern Tier housing programming and services that address regional transportation barriers for EH clients.

As part of the Essential Functions for this role, the Director of AIDS Institute (AI) Housing:

· Develops and implements the AI Component A, State HOPWA, and Southern Tier housing programs as outlined in their respective work plans

· Serves as the liaison within the community on matters relating to homelessness and HIV issues

· Communicates and collaborates with contract managers and funders, responding in a timely manner to all requests

· Ensures compliance with state, federal and local regulations regarding provision of residential housing services

· Coordinates and monitors fiscal program outcomes and indicators as indicated by work plans

· Assesses, develops and implements the AI Component A, State HOPWA, and Southern Tier housing programs policies and procedures

· Reviews and provides feedback for all care plans, progress notes and discharge plans

· Establishes linkages for referrals and meets with local regional housing service coalitions

· Assesses current provision of AI Housing services, identifies areas of need for services, and implements a streamlined process of housing service provision, tracking and reporting throughout the agency

Qualified Candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with three (3) years of relevant management experience and five (5) years of housing services experience. Supportive housing or homelessness prevention experience preferred. Candidate must demonstrate experience developing and implementing housing service delivery programs with an understanding of community-level work and the importance of collaboration with other organizations. Working knowledge of, and experience with, HUD regulations and requirements as well as local and state housing regulations, required. Knowledge of Mental Health disorders, Substance Abuse Disorders, HIV/AIDS, and/or other chronic illnesses, essential. Candidate must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and an insured, dependable car. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, and possess organizational and time management skills. Candidate must exercise sound judgement in decision making.
