The Director of Mental Health is responsible for overseeing management of the mental health practice, providing clinical supervision and professional development of mental health counseling staff, participating on administrative and process development teams, as well as engaging clients dealing with both mental health and substance use issues. As part of the Essential Functions for this role, the Director of Mental Health:

· Manages the day-to-day operations of the Mental Health practice; Participates in program and process development as well as quality evaluation efforts; Prepares monthly program analysis reports

· Working within a Harm Reduction model, manages a small caseload of clients; Provides mental health assessments for clients;

· Provides direct clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary team, counseling staff members regarding service delivery and caseload management

· Monitors the completion and accuracy of clinical documentation by multi-disciplinary team counseling staff

· Identifies counseling staff professional and clinical skill development needs, and provides assistance as needed with accessing training and other resources

· Performs day to day management of the program operation including management of staff, monitoring the maintenance of the site and reporting needs

Qualified Candidate will have a Masters degree in Social Work or related field with three to five (3-5) years of professional, clinical with a minimum one (1) year supervisory or management experience with clinicians or staff serving mental health patients. Experience developing and implementing direct client services and mental health counseling services required. Candidate must demonstrate strong clinical knowledge regarding harm reduction psycho-therapy, knowledge of trauma informed care, cultural sensitivity and competency specific to substance user health, LGBTQ  issues and other marginalized populations. LCSW-R highly preferred.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently essential.
