The Information Technology Technician III (IT Tech III) is responsible for maintaining IT systems, servers and security. The incumbent primary function is to coordinate daily support for IT and network, infrastructure, Wi-Fi and system security for the Evergreen Association. Essential functions of this role:

· Functions as lead technician to provide maintenance and support for IT hardware, software and all other assigned IT projects: Research, implement, and maintain systems; Maintain monthly server room logs; Create and update documentation

· Acts as Lead for systems such as the cisco phone system, Evergreen’s cell phone accounts, hardware orders and deployment, Wi-Fi, troubleshooting, account management, and asset management, as well as evaluates needs, conducts research, obtains quotes and estimates, and purchases

· In collaboration with IT Manager, and SynchroNet Industries, maintains and plans for future needs of Association server and network infrastructure environment

· Manages Evergreens help desk application; Ensures that tickets are responded to and or completed; Integrates ticketing escalation policy to include SynchroNet support

· Participates in planning, implementation, and maintenance of new IT systems installations in existing and new locations—including server environment, Internet services, phone system, wireless technologies, desktop hardware and software, and mobile device management

· Assists the IT Manager with updating the written policies and procedures for Information Technology to keep the agency current with industry standard best practices; (e.g.: HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST)

· Assists the IT Manager in providing staff orientation and training for software programs, hardware, security, and new technologies, and coordinates creation of user support documentation

Qualified Candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years experience working in server maintenance, network management, computer applications, network security, wireless, VPN/ Remote Access and backup systems maintenance; and one (1) year of experience with Group Policy, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange. Candidate must be self-motivated and well organized, ability to work under time constraints. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, and demonstrate ability to work across multiple departments and aid with complex and escalated support requests. Sensitivity to HIV/AIDS and lifestyle issues is essential.
