Evergreen Health offers substance use services for people who use drugs and are interested in exploring ways to change their use. Our substance use team is here to help you meet your health and wellness goals by working with you to create a treatment plan around your personal needs.
If you’re considering making a change with your drug use, whether your goal is to use more safely, to reduce your use, or to stop using, you can count on our team to be understanding and non-judgmental. We meet you where you are and celebrate any positive changes you make, big or small. Abstinence isn’t expected and we don’t stop providing services because of drug use.
Our team of medication providers, counselors, peers and nurses will work with you to make a substance use treatment plan based on your personal goals. We will help you address any roadblocks that are preventing you from reaching your goals or stressors that lead you to wanting to use, while helping you build a positive support system and learn new skills.
We offer in person or virtual care, on your own terms.
One-on-one and group substance use counseling services help you better understand your feelings, behaviors and motivations. Counseling can teach you skills that help you cope with stress, raise your self-esteem and reach your goals. If you have mental health concerns, you can receive counseling for substance use and your mental health diagnosis at the same time.
Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) involves prescription medications to help you reduce or stop your use of drugs, tobacco or alcohol. MAT is for people who use drugs or substances, want to stop using or reduce their use, and have an interest in discussing medical treatment options.
In addition to Medication for Addiction Treatment for people who want to stop using or reduce their use of substances including drugs, tobacco and alcohol, we offer low-threshold access to buprenorphine (sometimes referred to as Suboxone) for patients who use opiates.
If you’re interested in MAT, please call us at 716.847.2441 to make an appointment for an evaluation with one of our substance use health professionals.
We can connect you with a certified peer recovery specialist: a person with similar lived experiences with drug or substance use who you can with talk about your struggles, victories and insights.
A certified peer recovery specialist can help you work towards your goals, build healthy relationships and community, and provide you with a role model as you work to make a change around your substance use.
