COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Evergreen Health’s top priority is the health and well-being of its patients. As guidance for COVID-19 ease throughout New York State, we will continue to monitor recommendations to ensure the health and safety of our patients, employees, visitors and the community at large.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, wearing masks and screening for symptoms have been effective tools to ensure we were keeping everyone safe and healthy. Over time we have updated our protocols to align with guidance from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and CDC. As of March 3, 2023, masks will no longer be required for employees and patients in common areas (hallways, lobbies, restrooms) at all Evergreen Health, CAS and Pride Center buildings.

  • Masks are still mandatory for employees only in all examination rooms in Primary and Specialty Care, Behavioral Health, and HIV/hepatitis C/STI testing rooms.
  • Patients will not be required to wear masks in examination rooms.
  • Employees who did not get a flu shot are required to wear a mask at all times while in any of the Evergreen, CAS or Pride Center buildings until April 1, 2023.
