The newly renovated space will offer a wide range of services, including primary care, sexual health testing and treatments, care coordination and more
BUFFALO, NY – Evergreen Health, a local healthcare organization that provides medical, behavioral and supportive services to individuals and families living with chronic illness or who are underserved by the healthcare system, has announced today the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly renovated building at 320 Prather Avenue in Jamestown, NY. The ceremony will take place at the site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
“We are so pleased to be part of the new medical corridor in Jamestown and thankful to our partners for helping make this happen. After purchasing the 320 Prather Avenue building in the summer of 2020, we’ve worked our way up to getting our entirety of services all in one place for patients in the Southern Tier – and now, we’re thrilled that these supportive services will officially be available in one building,” said Ray Ganoe, president and CEO, Evergreen Health. “This major project also aligns with our Unconditional campaign as we are committed to providing access to folks in rural communities who have typically been underserved by the healthcare system.”
In 2020, Evergreen Health purchased the 320 Prather Avenue building to further solidify its commitment to the Southern Tier and consolidate its services into one building, similar to the model of care demonstrated at its headquarters in Buffalo. Services offered at this new location will include:
Since the purchase, the building has undergone major exterior and interior renovations to create a safe and welcoming environment for staff and patients, including a new roof, the replacement of all exterior windows with new, energy efficient windows, the installation of a new parking lot, retaining wall, the regrading and repaving of the surface parking lot, ADA accessibility enhancements throughout the interior and exterior, the installation of the building’s first ever elevator allowing this medical facility to be 100% accessible on all floors, and the complete renovation of multiple office suites throughout the building including mechanical systems, flooring, ceilings, electrical and new office and conference room formatting.
Additionally, thanks to partners Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, the Garman Family Foundation, Sheldon Foundation, Turner Construction, and SWBR for supporting this important project. Special thanks to the City of Jamestown for funding the installation of an elevator.
“We look forward to bringing Evergreen’s all-encompassing care and wide range of supportive services to this new location,” Laurie Matson, associate vice president, Southern Tier services, Evergreen Health. “In addition to serving local patients, we’re excited to grow our team, bringing opportunity to the Southern Tier region and its community.”
